Entry Requirements:

• Applicants are required to submit a personal statement outlining their desire to study hospitality, along with any other relevant information about their academic background.

Grade Requirements:

• A lower second-class undergraduate (2.2) degree or international equivalent in Business Management, Catering/Culinary, Event Production and Events Management.

• The university will also consider applicants with a 2:2 Bachelor of Commerce degree with at least 2 modules in creative subjects such as arts and music.

• A degree in any area will be considered if applicants have at least 6 months of professional or voluntary experience in hospitality.

English Proficiency:

• Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS overall score of at least 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.5 in all components.

For international students enrolling in the MSc International Events Management course at the University of Essex, the tuition fees for the 2025/26 academic session are £22,750. Students should note that their tuition fees increase by 5% per year.
