MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Course overview
The IET officially approves this four-year Master of Engineering (MEng) course. It trains engineers to solve significant issues in areas such as transport, power generation, and digital systems. The first year is an integrated programme that teaches the core ideas of all engineering subjects. This ensures students have a wide range of skills before they begin focusing on electrical and electronic engineering.
From the second year onward, the course focuses on electrical and electronic engineering, covering topics such as power electronics and electric motors. In the final Master's year, you will complete a major interdisciplinary design project that integrates all your learning, creating a strong portfolio for future employers. Throughout the degree, learning takes place in industry-standard facilities using modern equipment and professional simulation software.
