BSc Social Psychology Year Abroad
Course overview
The BSc Social Psychology with Year Abroad at the University of East Anglia (UEA) looks at how people think, feel and act when they are around others. It studies how groups, culture, identity, relationships and communities affect the way people behave. Students also learn about personality, social cognition and how people make sense of information about others.
The degree includes a Year Abroad, normally in the third year. During this year, students study at a partner university in another country. This gives international experience, exposure to different cultures and the chance to learn about social behaviour in a new environment.
Teaching at UEA uses a mixture of classroom learning and practical activities. Students learn through lectures, seminars, workshops, research tasks, group work and independent study. Assessment is usually done through coursework such as essays, reports, data analysis tasks and presentations.
