Course overview

The BA Business Management with a Year in Industry at the University of East Anglia (UEA) is a four-year undergraduate programme that includes three years of academic study and one year spent working in the industry. The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and is delivered by UEA’s Norwich Business School.

Through this programme, students gain a comprehensive understanding of marketing principles, finance and accounting, organisational behaviour and management, data analysis, and business ethics. Students are typically assessed through reports, online tests, essays, presentations, and exams.

Entry requirements

Grade Requirements:

Applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements to apply:

  • Achieve 32 points in the International Baccalaureate,

  • Obtain a DDM in the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma, or 

  • Attain ABB at A levels (excluding General Studies).

Applicants may also apply with equivalent international qualifications.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants who are non-native English speakers need a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 overall and at least 5.5 in every skill section. Keep in mind that the test results are valid only if taken within two years of the course’s start date.

  • Candidates from specific countries may not be required to provide proof of English proficiency.

Scholarships

  • International UG Merit Scholarship

    Year 1 Entry - £5,000 or £10,000; Year 2 - £5,000 or £4,000.

  • Music Scholarship

    Total Value: £3,000; Annual Value: £1,000

  • The North Walsham Vikings RFC Bursary

    Minimum of £500 per scholarship. This amount may be higher, but it is at the discretion of the club and dependent on the number of recipients and level of ability.

    Undergraduate level: the Home rate (£9,535 per annum) and an annual bursary (£9000); Postgraduate taught level: the Home rate (£10,675 per annum) and an annual bursary (£9000).
