MSc Animation VFX
Course overview
The University of Dundee MSc Animation & VFX course, offered through Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, is designed to teach the creative and technical competencies necessary for a career in the animation and visual effects (VFX) industries. It supports students in developing a professional skill-set using industry-standard software and mixes critical thinking with practical production techniques.
A major feature of the programme is its focus on professional practice, which includes working in a team on a live project brief set by an industrial client. Learning is assessed through various methods, culminating in the submission of a narrative film, a high-quality showreel, or a breakdown reel, preparing students for professional production pipelines.
