BSc Adult Nursing Kirkcaldy
Course overview
This BSc Adult Nursing (Kirkcaldy) at the University of Dundee gets students readily prepared for successful jobs as registered adult nurses. The core aim is to help them become kind and knowledgeable professionals who are ready to care for people with various diverse health issues. Half of the course time is spent on campus, where they learn the theory required for critical thinking and problem-solving.
The remaining half of their time is spent on clinical placements (practical work), often within NHS Fife hospitals and community services, where they gain hands-on nursing skills. Students learn through a blend of classroom lessons, lectures, and practical sessions in a simulated hospital environment. Completing this course gives them both a university degree and the professional qualification needed to be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
