Overview
Studying a BA (Hons) International Business at the University of Central Lancashire will enable students to gain essential knowledge of international trade, global market and management, while understanding how businesses open within the international environment. This course equips students with an understanding of accounting, marketing and finance within the scope of international business and these fields impact the real world.
This programme runs for 3-4 years, during which students get the opportunity to undertake a work placement or study abroad to gain hands-on experience and gain essential skills that will prepare them to navigate global challenges.
Entry Requirements
- Qualifications equivalent to A-levels in subjects such as Mathematics, Business Studies, and Economics (grades ranging from AAB to BBC).
- International Baccalaureate: Overall points should be between 28 and 36.
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diplomas in Business or related subjects with grades such as DMM (Distinction, Merit, Merit) or higher.
English Proficiency

Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS score of at least 6.5. TOEFL or other equivalents are also allowed.
Cost of Study
The tuition fee for the 2025/26 academic year for international students for BA (Hons) International Business is around £16,500. Keep in mind that these fees are subject to change.
Scholarships
The University of Central Lancashire has several scholarships and bursaries available for both international postgraduate and undergraduate students. Students will need to apply for and receive an offer from the university to be considered for any of its scholarships.
Excellence Scholarship is applicable to an applicant who has achieved excellent grades prior to entering their chosen undergraduate or postgraduate taught program with the university.
The GREAT scholarship program offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK.
