Forensic Science and Criminology With Foundtion Year

University of Bedfordshire

Course overview

The Forensic Science and Criminology with Foundation Year programme teaches forensic lab techniques and studies why people commit crimes using practical crime scenes. It will give students a strong foundation in biology and chemistry used in forensic work and explore the criminal justice system's role in preventing and punishing criminal behaviour.

The course is accredited by The Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences. It includes a foundation year that will prepare students for the main degree. This foundation year is perfect for students who need extra preparation or do not meet the entry requirements for the main degree.

Students use the university's mock crime-scene facilities and clinical suite for realistic mortuary training. They also have the chance to practice for court appearances in the Moot Court.
