The BSc (Hons) Forensic Science and Criminology programme combines biology, chemistry, and criminology to give students an understanding of science and the theory behind crime and investigation. The course also builds students’ skills in laboratory analysis, evidence interpretation, and communication of scientific findings.
This programme is accredited by The Chartered Society of Forensic Science (CSFS). It begins by building students' foundations in core scientific areas such as human anatomy, molecular genetics, physiology and chemistry for forensic scientists. They will study topics that include, structure of molecules, the structure and relationship between body parts and patterns of genetic inheritance.
Students will benefit from using facilities like a mock crime-scene flat to put their knowledge into practice. They will be assessed through examinations, written reports, analytical assignments, research diary, literature review, enterprise proposal, mock court presentation, webinar production and oral presentation and laboratory reports.

If a student is applying with A-level or IB results, they can get £3,000 off their fees each year. Indian students can also get £3,000 off with the High Achievers Scholarship, and the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship offers a tuition fee reduction for new students.
