BSc Psychology
Course overview
The BSc Psychology with Foundation Year at the University of Law allows students to develop their knowledge and understanding of discourses and practices in education, psychology, and counselling. They will learn to reflect on and theorise their personal experiences and practices, and to enhance their employment opportunities by developing counselling skills.
The Foundation Year will equip students with the necessary academic skills needed to progress to the undergraduate degree. Students will study a wide range of psychological areas, including biological, cognitive, social, and developmental psychology.
They will also learn about personality and individual differences in the study of human behaviour. By focusing on these interrelated areas, students will enhance their understanding of psychological research methods and data analysis. Students will collaborate with their teachers to model and create inclusive teaching and learning strategies and environments, while being supported to challenge accepted ideas and practices.
