LLB Law with Criminology

Swansea University

Course overview

The LLB Law with Criminology at Swansea University will allow students to explore core legal knowledge, criminology, and social justice while developing essential analytical, communication, and research skills. They will gain practical skills in areas such as negotiation, client interviewing and mooting, as well as transferable skills, like public speaking, making them well-suited for various legal professions.

This degree brings together law and criminology, offering students the opportunity to combine an interest in criminality and criminal policy with an in-depth understanding of the law of England and Wales. The programme provides a strong foundation for students who may wish to take the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations (SQE) in the future, and satisfy the academic stage of training required by the Bar Standards Board for those wishing to become barristers.

Students can learn through a blend of lectures, seminars, workshops, and practical sessions, including laboratory work, skills training, or studio-based teaching where relevant to their discipline.
