BSc Adult Nursing Swansea
Course overview
The BSc Adult Nursing (Swansea) at Swansea University is a three-year programme designed to prepare you for a vital role in healthcare. This course provides comprehensive training in caring for adults of all ages, from young adults to the elderly.
Your learning is divided equally between university-based teaching and hands-on clinical experience. Half of your study time is spent at Swansea University, while the other half takes place in real healthcare settings. Through strong partnerships with healthcare providers such as the Welsh National Health Service (NHS), you will gain practical experience across South West Wales, including hospitals and community clinics.
You will be taught by experienced nurses, doctors, and healthcare professionals, many of whom continue to work within clinical environments. This blend of theoretical knowledge and real-world expertise ensures you receive high-quality, practice-led training. The main hospital is conveniently located next to the Singleton Park campus, close to the scenic Gower Peninsula. Upon completing the course, you will be eligible to apply for Registered Nurse (Adult) status with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, allowing you to work as an adult nurse in the UK and across Europe.
