BA Early Childhood Studies
Course overview
The BA Early Childhood Studies programme equips students to make a difference in the lives of young children by becoming early childhood specialists. The course focuses on working with children aged 0 to 8, with a special emphasis on preschoolers. Few careers are as rewarding as helping children overcome obstacles, acquire new skills, and develop socially and emotionally.
Students will gain a deep understanding of the factors affecting children’s learning, health, and wellbeing, and apply this knowledge through practical methods such as teaching techniques, play therapy, and hands-on activities. The programme includes a range of placement experiences, with opportunities for a summer or year abroad to enhance practical skills and global awareness.
