MArch Architecture

Course Overview

This two-year Master of Architecture course is a modern and professional programme that is recognised by both the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB). The course focuses on thoughtful design and the social, ethical, and environmental responsibilities of architecture. Students will work with professionals and communities on projects that look at both local and international issues.

Learning is done through coursework, including creative studio sessions, lectures, workshops, exhibitions, and field trips. Students' progress is measured using design essays and reports. Students can also choose to do a placement year between the first and final years. The programme covers important topics such as architectural practice, social and political design, and ecological architecture.
