Course overview

The MA Art Psychotherapy Practice at Sheffield Hallam University is a one-year postgraduate course that trains students to become professionals in the health sector. Grade Requirements:

  • International students require a 2:2 or above in a similar field, such as Fine Art, Arts Therapies, Humanities, Psychology, or Social Sciences. Applicants will also need a portfolio of their past work, which shows a passion for art making.
  • Applicants from professions such as Social Workers, Nurses, and Teachers are also welcome. Additionally, applicants must show evidence of pre-course experience in a similar field.

English Requirements:

  • International students require an IELTS score of 7.0 overall and a minimum of 6.0 in each band, or a recognised equivalent. Additionally, the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) requires IELTS 7.0 with no lower than 6.5 in each component.
