BEng Design Engineering

The Middlesex University BEng Design Engineering programme is designed to help prepare students for a career in design engineering by combining theoretical foundations with practical applications. The curriculum for this course focuses on developing core design skills, engineering methods, and project management skills. Students will work on projects for real clients through the university's design and innovation centre, redLoop.

Learning is active and practice-based, with a strong focus on projects. Teaching is carried out by an experienced team through workshops, discussions, seminars, and hands-on laboratory activities. Assessment is based on a mix of individual and group projects. Guided and independent study is highly encouraged, and students have access to a variety of resources.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants are normally required to have at least 112 UCAS points. This can be achieved through A-Levels with grades BBC, including a grade C or above from a mathematics or physics subject.
• Alternatively, a Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma with DMM is also acceptable.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds must score at least 6.0 overall in the IELTS, with no individual component score below 5.5, or submit an equivalent test score.

For the BEng Design Engineering at Middlesex University, the full-time tuition fee for international students is £16,600.
