MSc Dietetics and Nutrition

The London Metropolitan University MSc Dietetics and Nutrition is an intensive programme for science graduates who wish to become dietitians. The curriculum includes instruction on food, nutrition, dietetics, disease etiology, pathology, and management. It also teaches clinical and research abilities, as well as public health.

The university provides excellent facilities, including a simulated ward and an outpatients department, to assist students in developing clinical abilities. The course includes three compulsory practice placements. Successful completion of the programme makes graduates eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement, and a relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CV along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants should have a UK first degree (or an equivalent qualification) of at least an upper second-class (2:1) in a life science subject.
• Completion of the DBS check is required.

English Proficiency:

• IELTS overall score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in all sections.
• Other equivalent test scores such as TOEFL and PTE are also accepted.

There is also a Prompt Payment Discount available for eligible international students who pay their fees early.
