BSc Pharmaceutical Science including foundation year

Course Overview

This four-year undergraduate degree is for students who do not meet the direct entry requirements for a standard pharmaceutical science course. The first year, known as the foundation year, builds your knowledge in key areas like biology and chemistry. Upon successful completion of the foundation year, you progress to the remaining three years of the BSc programme. The course is accredited by The Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and students receive free membership.

Learning is supported by practical work in the university's advanced Science Centre and the Superlab, one of the largest teaching laboratories in Europe. Assessment methods include practical reports, problem-solving exercises, coursework, presentations, and exams. This approach helps you gain both theoretical and practical skills needed for a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
