BA Architecture

With the BA (Hons) Architecture at Liverpool John Moores University, students gain the skills and knowledge to build environments through design. In this course, students will study architectural design, history, and theory.

Additionally, aspects such as environment and technology, materials and construction, and professional practice and legislation are studied. They also complete integrated design projects and develop a professional portfolio. These experiences give students the creative skillset and professional insight to work in the architectural and urban industry.

As a course accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB), it provides exemption from RIBA Part 1, an important step toward becoming a registered architect. Teaching and learning combine lectures, design studios, workshops, and tutorials. Assessment includes portfolios, presentations, written reports, and a final comprehensive design project.

Liverpool John Moores University was established in Liverpool, England, in 1823, and it was later recognised as a university in 1992. It offers many undergraduate, graduate, and research programmes across several disciplines.
