MSc Biomedical Science: Medical Microbiology with Management Studies

The Kingston University MSc Biomedical Science: Medical Microbiology with Management Studies course provides a detailed knowledge of how diseases work, how to diagnose them, and what are the health consequences of microbial diseases around the world. The program connects knowledge with academic background to the application of biomedical science and management from a business perspective. An important element of the course is a long research project, which requires you to investigate an area in detail.

Students learn from professional teaching staff, guest speakers, and hands-on classes. The professional placement option also exists in the program, making the course two years long. In this course, students’ progress is assessed through exams, coursework, and the research project. Candidates are required to have a good honours degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline. Other degrees in biology and medical science may be considered on an individual basis. All applicants must show a sufficient understanding of mammalian biology and immunology, with previous study in microbiology preferred. Grade Requirements:

• You should hold at least a lower second-class honours degree (2:2) or higher in a relevant subject such as biomedical science, medical microbiology, medical genetics, molecular biology, haematology, or immunology. 
• Non-standard qualifications with relevant experience may also be considered.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants who are not native English speakers need an IELTS score of 6.5 overall for postgraduate study, with a minimum of 6.0 in each element. You can also submit equivalent scores, such as TOEFL and PTE.
