BSc Construction and the Built Environment

The Heriot-Watt University BSc Construction and the Built Environment programme is a four-year full-time undergraduate degree. It is designed to meet the need for skilled professionals who can manage difficult construction projects in today's global market.

Grade Requirements: 

• For entry into the first year, applicants typically need specific grades from SQA Highers (ABBB), A-Levels (ABC or BBB), or an International Baccalaureate score of 29 points. 
• For entry into the second year, higher qualifications are needed, such as SQA Advanced Highers at BB, A-Levels at ABB, or a good HNC/HND in a construction-related field.

English Proficiency: 

• If English is not your first language, you need to show you can use English well. This means an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no part lower than 5.5. Other similar test scores, like PTE and TOEFL, are also accepted.

The tuition fee for international students for the BSc Construction and the Built Environment at Heriot-Watt University is £19,456.

Heriot-Watt University provides many scholarships for eligible international undergraduate students. These include the International Merit Scholarship, which offers different amounts depending on the region for students starting in January & September 2025, and the Dean's Global Merit Scholarship.
