BSc Computing Networks, Cyber Security and Forensics

Course Overview

The BSc Computing (Networks, Cyber Security and Forensics) at Edge Hill University is a BCS-accredited programme where students will learn to identify and prevent cyber-attacks, master the art of digital forensic analysis and set up secure computer networks. Students will understand the principles, technology and science that combine to create computer networks. They will learn how to analyse computer systems and suggest improvements. 

Throughout the course, students will engage in research and development projects, exploring areas of networking, security or forensics. They will develop ethical hacking skills through practical exercises and learn how to design and assess secure computer networks. They will also study biometric security and approaches to identity management to prevent cyber attacks.

Entry Requirements for Bangladeshi Students

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement discussing their reasons for applying to the course and provide other relevant information about their studies. Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants are expected to have 102-112 UCAS tariff points obtained through qualifications such as A-Level at BCC-BBC, BTEC Extended Diploma and International Baccalaureate. 

English Proficiency:

  • International students require an IELTS score of 6.0, with no individual component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent English language qualification.

Cost of Study

For international students, the tuition fee for the BSc Computing (Networks, Cyber Security and Forensics) at Edge Hill University is £17,000 for the 2025-2026 academic year.
