Course Overview

MSc Computing at De Montfort University focuses on current tools and techniques in modern computer science. It equips students with practical skills and professional understanding for a successful career within the computing industry.

Entry Requirements for Bangladeshi Students

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement explaining their interest in the course and any academic or professional experience. A reference from an academic or employer is required. Students can also upload a CV to show their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants will normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2:2 honours or above in a relevant subject. Relevant subjects include Computing, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Software Engineering, and Computer Science.
  • Alternatively, relevant equivalent qualifications are accepted.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants who do not speak English as their first language need an overall IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
  • Accepted alternatives include PTE or TOEFL iBT

Cost of Study

The tuition fee for the MSc Computing programme for the 2025/26 academic year is £18,100 per year for international students. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may change.

Scholarships

De Montfort University offers scholarships to international students to support them financially. One of these scholarships is the Global Access Scholarship, which offers a fee reduction of £3,000 for eligible international students enrolling on a postgraduate taught course in the Computing, Engineering and Media (CEM) faculty.
