MSc Robotics
Course overview
The Cranfield University MSc Robotics programme provides both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in intelligent and autonomous robot systems. This course aims to enhance students' employment prospects in a field with increasing global demand.
The course is particularly suitable for individuals with a background in engineering mathematics and basic computer programming, typically from disciplines like aeronautical, mechanical, computer science, or mechatronic engineering.
The programme's structure involves 40% taught modules, 20% a group project, and 40% an individual research project, offering a comprehensive learning experience. It can be completed full-time in one year or part-time over two to three years.
The curriculum is guided by an Industrial Advisory Panel, ensuring its relevance to industry demands and includes hands-on workshops at industrial training facilities. Assessment methods combine industry seminars, laboratory experiments, coursework, and project work, often using real-world problems from industrial partners. The course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).
