MSc Renewable Energy Engineering

Course Overview

The MSc Renewable Energy Engineering course at Coventry University trains engineering graduates for the growing renewable energy industry. It focuses on tackling climate change and helping meet the UN's goals for sustainable development. Students will learn about renewable ways to create heat, power, and transport, with a focus on cutting down carbon emissions cheaply. The course includes visits to power plants and hands-on work with new tech like AI for energy and smart energy systems.

Students will learn through talks, group discussions, practical lab work, and workshops. As a full-time master's student, students will complete 180 credits each year. For every 30-credit module, students will spend about 300 hours studying, including class time and their own work. Performance will be checked through presentations, group projects, tests, essays, exams, and practical assignments. Students might also have the chance to do a work placement to get real-world experience and skills.
