BEng Computer Systems Engineering

BEng Computer Systems Engineering at Coventry University focuses on the engineering and integration of hardware and software systems. It is designed to encourage students to think creatively and independently, preparing them for the challenges in the technological environment.

The teaching modules include engineering mathematics, engineering design, analogue and digital systems, electronic system design, manufacturing, testing and embedded system design and development. Students will learn to design and integrate computer hardware and software into computer systems.

In this programme, the teaching methods include lectures, seminars, lab, workshops, online activities and group work for 15 -18hours weekly. Assessment methods include essays, group work, presentations, reports, projects, coursework, and exams. Students can opt for  a placement year to gain professional experience.

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement explaining their interest and experience. Students are also to provide a reference from an academic or employer, and can submit a CV to show relevant work experience.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants are required to have 120 UCAS tariff points (a BBB at A Level)
• Alternatively, relevant equivalent qualifications are considered. 

English Proficiency:

• Applicants who are non-English speakers need an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
• Alternatively, other tests such as TOEFL or PTE are also accepted.

The tuition fee for this course at Coventry University is £19,850 per year for international students. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may change.

Coventry University awards undergraduate scholarships worth up to £6,000 spread across the first three years to international applicants who have completed the enrollment process and meet eligibility requirements. These scholarships are available to international students to support them financially.
