BSc Sport Exercise Science Intercalated

The Cardiff Metropolitan University BSc Sport & Exercise Science (Intercalated) is a one-year full-time programme open exclusively to UK medical students who are deemed eligible for intercalation by their home university. The programme allows medical students to complete an honours degree, integrating into the final year of the standard BSc Sport & Exercise Science course.

Students will study a compulsory independent project and interdisciplinary sport and exercise science, alongside optional modules in areas like Sports Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology for Health, or Sport Psychology. This provides medical students with a specialist scientific qualification and knowledge in the challenging environment of sports and exercise.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants must also secure the formal approval of their current medical school to undertake the period of intercalation.

English Proficiency:

• International students whose first language is not English will need an IELTS 6.0 standard overall, or equivalent approved test scores.
