MSc Adult Nursing

The MSc Adult Nursing is for graduates from any academic background. It equips students with the essential knowledge required for a successful career in adult nursing. Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and practise as registered nurses.

The course has varied assessment methods like written assignments, portfolios, case studies, group presentations, and a dissertation, to ensure academic skill development. Canterbury Christ Church University is a well-regarded institution with campuses in Canterbury and Medway, Kent. Candidates are required to submit a personal statement detailing their reasons for applying to the course, along with any relevant academic or work experience. A reference from an academic or employer is also necessary.

Applicants must complete 750 hours of practical experience, which they will document in a Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) portfolio. This portfolio should include proof that they have applied for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and occupational health clearance. It must also include a personal statement explaining how their previous experience has prepared them for the MSc Nursing programme.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants need at least a 2:1 Bachelor's degree with Honours in any subject or a 2:2 Bachelor's degree with Honours in a health-related subject, such as Biological Sciences, Psychology, or Public Health.
• Applicants must also hold Mathematics and English GCSE at grade 4-9 (A-C) or Functional Skills Level 2, or an equivalent qualification.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to have a minimum overall score of 6.5 in IELTS, with at least 6.0 in the writing section and no less than 5.5 in all other sections.
• Equivalent Secure English Language Test (SELT) scores are also accepted.

The tuition fee for the MSc Adult Nursing for international students is £15,500 per year.

Canterbury Christ Church University offers a range of scholarships and bursaries to international students, including A reduction of £1,500 from fees for each year of full-time study, for eligible international students.
