BSc Sports Therapy

The BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy at Buckinghamshire New University is approved by the Society of Sports Therapists (SST) and helps you learn the skills and knowledge needed to become a sports therapist.

You will learn how to stop, assess, and treat injuries, and how to safely help people return to full fitness. You will study important topics like human anatomy, body movement, physical recovery, and treatment techniques. You will also improve your confidence in working with clients and learn how to communicate well.

You will get real-life experience in the university’s Sports and Wellbeing Clinic, helping local people, athletes, and sports teams. Practical sessions, case studies, and work-based assessments help prepare you for the professional world.

Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) was founded in 1893 in Buckinghamshire, England. Today, the university offers many study choices. You can study for a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, or do research. Subjects include business, computer science, engineering, health and social care, media, and creative arts.

The university has received official recognition from professional groups such as the British Computer Society (BCS) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). There are over 13,000 students studying at BNU, and many of them come from different countries around the world.

Grade Requirements:

• To study this course, you’re required to have a UCAS tariff score of 112-136 which can be obtained through qualifications such as A levels, T levels, BTEC, or an Access to Higher Education course in a relevant subject.  

English Proficiency:

• International students are required to provide proof that they have sufficient proficiency in English. To do this, an IELTS score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each of the four components is required. 
• Equivalent tests such as TOEFL and PTE Academic are also accepted. 

The tuition fee to study the BSc Sports Therapy at Buckinghamshire New University for the 2025/26 academic session is £15,150. Fees are paid annually and are, thus, subject to a yearly increase. 

BNU offers a range of financial support and scholarships to make quality education affordable for international students who want to study at the university. One available opportunity is the Vice-Chancellor's International Student Scholarship. This scholarship awards up to £1,500 to self-funded international students in their first year of study. To be eligible, applicants must hold an offer from Buckinghamshire New University for a full-time taught degree programme. 

In addition to the above, BNU also offers an International Early Payment Discount of £500 for full payment of fees before the 1 August 2025 discount deadline. Applicants must have received an offer from Buckinghamshire New University for a full-time taught degree programme, starting in September 2025 to be eligible.
