Course overview
The BSc Physiotherapy at Brunel University London focuses on experiments and scientific knowledge, which will prepare students for a career that helps people recover and move forward better. This highly ranked programme teaches students the knowledge and clinical requirements they would need to become professional physiotherapists.
Students carry out their experiments in the Mary Seacole building, a state-of-the-art clinical facility specially designed in the form of clinical environments where students will work. Students go through 1,000 hours of clinical placements from their second year till the end of the course.
Students will learn through lectures, tutorials, small-group sessions, and online learning and they will be assessed through written exams, practical exams, written assignments, practice vivas, and clinical placement. After graduation, students can apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Entry requirements
Candidates need to submit a personal statement and relevant information regarding their studies, an academic and/or employer reference, CVs to show their work experience, and a DBS check will be carried out.
Grade Requirements:
- Candidates need A-levels at grades AAB to ABB, including at least a Grade B in Biology or Human Biology.
- Other International qualifications equivalent to A-levels are also accepted.
English Proficiency:
- Candidates need an overall score of 7.0 in the IELTS Academic test, with no score below 6.5.
- Other English language test scores, such as PTE Academic and TOEFL IBT, are accepted, amongst others.
