BSc Business Computing

The Brunel University London Business Computing course is a challenging programme providing highly relevant, practical experience. The course teaches students how to establish effective processes that enable information delivery systems and users to conduct business effectively. 

Students will come to understand how an organisation's information systems must adapt to the natural changes and developments that accompany growth and progress. The course covers the fundamental aspects of software artefacts, including information, algorithms, programmes, and common commercial system architectures.

The programme blends theoretical knowledge with real-world practice. Students learn system development approaches, covering requirements capture, design methods, tools, techniques, implementation, testing, and software maintenance. 

A key feature of the degree is project-based learning, making up one-third of each year's studies, including group projects in the initial years and an individual project in the final year, which can be showcased at the Made in Brunel (Software Innovation) event. 

An optional year-long work placement is available, and the course is accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS), helping graduates meet the academic requirements for becoming a Chartered IT Professional.

Grade Requirements: 

• The standard entry requirements are 120 UCAS tariff points, including A Levels (AAB to BBB), BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (DMM), T Levels (Merit), or International Baccalaureate (30 points). 
• A-level equivalent international qualifications are also accepted

English Proficiency: 

• If English is not your first language, you will need an IELTS overall score of 6.5, with no less than 5.5 in each component (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). 
• Brunel University London also accepts equivalent scores from other recognised English language tests, such as PTE, BrunELT, and TOEFL.

The international tuition fee for the BSc Business Computing at Brunel University London for the 2025/26 academic year is £20,400 per year.
