Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements:

  • 80 UCAS Tariff points in A-Level, BTEC or other Level 3 qualifications are required to qualify to study this course. 

English Proficiency:

  • International students are required to possess an IELTS score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component. 
  • If you do not meet this requirement, you may be eligible for one of the university’s Pre-sessional English courses.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee to study BEng Automotive Engineering with a Foundation Year at Birmingham City University is £17,960. Please note that this fee is only for the 2025/2026 academic session. The university reserves the right to increase fees for subsequent years of study.

Scholarships

Birmingham City University provides scholarships to recognise the talents of every international student. These scholarships are deducted from students’ first-year's Bachelor's degree tuition fees. 

For instance, all international students enrolling on an undergraduate course will be eligible for a scholarship of up to £2,000, discounted from students’ first year's tuition fees.  This scholarship is awarded based on students’ academic backgrounds.
