BSc Management

The BSc Management programme is designed for individuals aspiring to become leaders and managers. It combines expert-led lectures with practical learning through case studies and guest speakers. The curriculum integrates management theory with the development of practical skills, covering areas such as strategic management, marketing, finance, and human resource management.

In this course, learning is interactive, featuring lectures, seminars, and workshops that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving. The course is available in both full-time and part-time formats, with daytime and evening timetables to accommodate different schedules. The standard duration of the course is three years for full-time study or four years for part-time study, with start dates in October. Assessment activities and independent learning outside of class are integral components of the course.

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement outlining their reasons for applying to the course and any other relevant information about their studies. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CVs along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants typically need 112 UCAS tariff points, including A Levels at BBC, BTEC Extended Diploma at MPP, BTEC Diploma at MM, T Levels, or International Baccalaureate. A-level equivalent international qualifications are also accepted.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to achieve a score of 6.5 overall on IELTS, with a minimum of 6.0 in each section. The university also accepts equivalent scores from other recognised English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL.

For the 2025-26 academic year, the tuition for full-time international students is £18,060 per year.

Birkbeck, University of London, provides several scholarships for international students. These include the Global Future Scholarship and the Birkbeck International Excellence Scholarships. There are also specific scholarships for students from India and Nigeria. Other ways to get funding include the Commonwealth and Chevening Scholarships.
