BA Interior Architecture and Design
Course overview
The BA Interior Architecture and Design at Arts University Bournemouth is designed to give students the skills necessary to establish a successful career in interior design. The course combines practical learning with design theory to build a strong architectural and design foundation.
During this programme, students learn how to create functional spaces that are safe. Importantly, they study areas such as materials, environmental design, technology, human needs, and also storytelling through space.
Learning combines studio work, workshops, lectures, and seminars led by experienced design staff. Assessment includes design projects, portfolios, group work, written tasks, and presentations.
In their final year, students complete projects that showcase their design skills and produce professional-quality work that prepares them for careers in interior architecture, renovation, or further study.
