Overview
Studying for a BA (Hons) in Sports Business Management at the University of Chester will provide students with the knowledge of how to apply business principles to the sports industry. It will also equip them with the skills in areas such as marketing, finance, and management of sports organisations, teams, and events.
The Sports Business Management degree enables students to explore key business concepts and theories, applying them to modern sports business practices in sports management.

Entry Requirements
Grade Requirement
- 104-120 UCAS Tariff points with qualifications equivalent to A-levels in Arts or a related subject.
- BTEC Extended Diploma: Grades within the rage of Distinction to Merit (DDM)
- International Baccalaureate (IB): A score between 28 and 34 points is usually required.
English Proficiency
- Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS score of at least 6.5. TOEFL or other equivalents are also allowed.
Cost of Study
The tuition fee for the 2025/26 academic year for international students for BA (Hons) Sports Business Management is approximately £14,500. Keep in mind that these fees are subject to change.
Scholarships
The University of Chester offers several scholarships and bursaries to international students. These scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, providing financial support, fostering an inclusive environment.
The Snowdon Masters Scholarship has been designed to identify and accelerate talented disabled students through higher education, creating the influencers of the future. The scholarship includes fee funding up to £15,000 p.a. for a one- or two-year UK master's course, and most scholarships include a further allowance towards studying costs.
International undergraduate students may also be eligible for the International Merit Alumni Scholarship. Undergraduate students who continue onto a University of Chester postgraduate course receive this award in appreciation for their commitment to the institution.
