MEng Civil Engineering

MEng Civil Engineering at Coventry University is for individuals who want to qualify as professionals and leaders in civil engineering. It combines technical, practical and managerial skills necessary to analyse, design and manage solutions for innovative and complex engineering problems.

Students will learn about geotechnics and construction materials, surveying and transportation engineering, structural engineering design projects, hydraulic and transportation engineering, soil mechanics, and engineering design.

The course involves about 15 -18hours of weekly lectures and online sessions. Assessment methods include essays, group work, presentations, reports, projects, coursework, exams and laboratories. There is also an option for a placement year.

Coventry University is a public research university in Coventry, England. It was known as Lanchester Polytechnic from 1970 to 1987, then Coventry Polytechnic until it gained university status in 1992.

• Applicants are required to have 128 UCAS tariff points (an ABB at A Level)
• Alternatively, relevant equivalent qualifications are considered. 

English Proficiency:

• Applicants who are non-English speakers need an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
• Alternatively, other tests such as TOEFL or PTE are also accepted.

The tuition fee for this course at Coventry University is £19,850 per year for international students. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may change.

Coventry University awards scholarships to international students to support them financially. Undergraduate scholarships worth up to £6,000 spread across the first three years are offered to applicants who have completed the enrollment process and meet eligibility requirements.
