MSc Business Analytics

Course Overview

The MSc Business Analytics programme at the University of Surrey is built to give students advanced tools, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and management science, so they can make the most of large amounts of data. Entry Requirements

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement in which they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other relevant information regarding their studies. Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants typically need a minimum of a 2:1 honours degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, economics, engineering, finance, or mathematics. 
  • Alternatively, candidates with at least three years of relevant work experience in an analytical and data-intensive role may also be considered.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to demonstrate English language proficiency by having an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each component.
  • Equivalent English language test scores, like TOEFL and PTE, are also accepted.

Cost of Study

For the September 2025 entry, the tuition fee for the University of Surrey MSc Business Analytics programme is £24,900.

Scholarships

The University of Surrey offers various scholarships and bursaries to support eligible postgraduate students. These opportunities may include the International Excellence Award, which provides a £5,000 fee waiver for eligible international, self-funded, full-time Master's students.
