International Foundation Year
Course overview
The International Foundation Year at the University of Salford is a one-year course for international students who need to improve their English and academic skills before starting a UK bachelor's degree. Teaching uses small interactive classes with group discussions, workshops, practical sessions, and one-on-one tutor support. You have access to computer labs and libraries. Assessment is continuous and in different ways, such as essays, presentations, group projects, lab reports (for science), case studies, in-class mini-tests, and exams from end-of-year to ongoing checks.
