BSc Business Management with Economics

Course Overview

The BSc in Business Management with Economics at the University of Salford helps students understand how economics affects businesses and management. It also looks at how organisations operate and the different challenges they face. Students learn to use economic models to create effective business strategies and policies. They also gain important digital skills, such as using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other tools needed in today’s job market.

The course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), which guarantees high standards in management and leadership education. The programme focuses on preparing students for careers with an industry-oriented curriculum that includes chances for work placements and study abroad experiences.

The University of Salford was founded in 1896 as the Royal Technical Institute and became a university in 1967. Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements:

  • International students must have qualifications that are equal to at least 104 UCAS tariff points. This can be from A Levels, where they need grades between BCC and BBC with at least two A2 passes. 
  • They can also qualify with T Levels (Merit) or a BTEC Extended Diploma (DMM), without needing specific subject requirements. 
  • Another option is to present International Baccalaureate results that total at least 30 points.

English Proficiency:

  • Non-native English speakers need to have a total IELTS score of 6.0, and they must score at least 5.5 in each skill section.

Cost of Study

International students enrolling in the University of Salford’s BSc Business Management with Economics programme for the 2025/26 academic year will pay the tuition fee of £15,720. Keep in mind that this fee may still be updated annually.

Scholarships

The University of Salford provides several scholarships and discounts to help international students. The Global Silver Excellence Scholarship gives £3,000 to undergraduate students and £2,500 to postgraduate students. The Global Gold Excellence Scholarship offers an even larger discount on tuition for students with excellent academic records. 

The University of Salford also has NCUK Scholarships for students completing NCUK pathway programmes. In addition to that, the Chevening Scholarships, which are funded by the UK government, pay for tuition fees, living costs, and other expenses for top global leaders.
