BA International Trade and Business Communication Top-up

This BA (Hons) International Trade and Business Communication Top-up degree is designed for students whose first language is not English, aiming to enhance their skills in management, leadership, and communication within the global business environment. 

You will learn to effectively communicate information, ideas, and arguments in English, both orally and in writing, to interact confidently with business managers worldwide. Grade Requirements:

• For the two-year course, you need some previous higher education. This could be a Level 4 qualification, like a suitable HNC, or 120 credits from the first year of a relevant university degree. For the one-year top-up, you will need a Level 5 qualification. Examples include an appropriate HND, foundation degree, or Advanced Diploma, or 240 credits from the first two years of a relevant university degree.

English Proficiency:

• If you are applying for the two-year course, you need to show good English skills. The minimum IELTS score is 5.5 overall, with at least 5.5 in each section. For the one-year course, you need a higher IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no section below 5.5. The university also accepts scores from other English language tests like TOEFL and PTE.

If you are an international student starting the BA International Trade and Business Communication (Top-up) in the 2025/2026 academic year, the yearly fee will be £16,200. Please note that this amount might slightly increase in future years.

The University of Portsmouth offers some financial help for international students starting their first bachelor's degree.
