Course Overview

The BA (Hons) Economics and Management degree is designed to give you a strong understanding of how businesses operate and how to make effective financial decisions. Throughout the course, you will explore significant economic topics that affect society, such as environmental issues, differences in pay between genders, productivity levels, and poverty. You can focus your studies on areas that interest you most, like sustainability, international business, financial markets, or business development.

You will develop your skills in analysing numbers to aid in making informed choices. You will learn from experienced university teachers who have close connections with important organisations like the Bank of England and the Office for National Statistics. You will also have the opportunity to gain a valuable Bloomberg Certificate, which is based on a trading platform used by professionals in the financial industry.
