University of Lincoln

Course overview

The University of Lincoln’s MSc Construction and Management programme is structured to tackle global challenges in the environment, such as the ozone layer depletion caused by climate change, technological advancements, urbanisation, and population differences. Developed in collaboration with industry partners and accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the curriculum offers learner-friendly modules on construction management processes.

This programme aims to improve students’ understanding of building sciences and the management of construction processes, preparing them for leadership roles in the construction industry. Graduates are equipped to address issues such as sustainability and urban development within construction projects.

Learning methods used in this course include lectures, seminars, and practical sessions, ensuring students get the full package, not just surface-level understanding. Assessment methods include coursework, examinations, and projects, used to evaluate students’ abilities to build from scratch. The programme also offers opportunities for work placements, providing the exact work setting graduates would be expected to work in.
