BSc Diagnostic Radiography
Course overview
This BSc Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Hull is a fast, full-time degree that only takes two years, the first of its type in the UK. This means students can qualify and start their career much quicker than with a normal degree. Diagnostic Radiography is a highly technical field that uses medical images like X-rays, CT, and MRI scans to help find and check on patient illnesses and injuries. The course has been approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
The course learning is split between two main areas: classroom study at the Allam Medical Building and a lot of hands-on experience (placements) in hospital departments. Students will learn both the science and technology behind medical imaging and the important skills needed to give kind, professional patient care. Practical lessons use special spaces like the mock hospital ward and the critical care unit.
