Course Overview

The MSc Finance and Investment Banking with Advanced Research at the University of Hertfordshire is a two-year full-time programme that prepares students for careers in finance and investment banking. About University

The University of Hertfordshire became a university in 1992, but it started as Hatfield Technical College in 1948. It is located in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, and has two main campuses: College Lane and de Havilland. These campuses have many facilities, including a £120 million Sports Village and specialised labs.

  • Applicants may qualify if they have professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, CFA, ICAEW, or ICS.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants should possess at least a 2:2 honours degree or its equivalent in subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, Science, or Mathematics.

English Proficiency:

  • Students who don’t speak English as their first language can show proof of their English skills by having an IELTS score of 6.5, with at least 5.5 in each section. Other equivalent test results approved by the university will also be accepted.

  • This requirement is waived for students who completed an undergraduate degree in English at an approved university in the UK or another eligible country while residing in that country.

International students joining the University of Hertfordshire's MSc Finance and Investment Banking with Advanced Research programme for the academic year 2025/26 will pay a tuition fee of around £19,800 per year. It’s worth noting that this fee may still be subject to change.
