BEng Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
Course overview
The BEng Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in the University of Hertfordshire prepares students to design, build, and program intelligent robotic systems. Students learn both hardware and software skills, including building electronic circuits, controlling embedded systems, and writing AI algorithms. They will learn in advanced areas such as digital electronics, programming, mechatronics, robotics, sensors, and machine learning.
Teaching is delivered through a mixture of lectures, tutorials, workshops, laboratory sessions, and design-and-build projects. These methods give students both theoretical knowledge and practical experience with real-world robotics and AI systems.
Assessment is carried out through coursework, practical design projects, laboratory reports, and a final individual project. This approach ensures that students gain experience applying what they learn to real-world problems while developing the skills needed for careers in robotics and artificial intelligence.
