MEng Chemical Engineering
Course overview
The MEng Chemical Engineering at the University of Greenwich will allow students to develop strong foundations in engineering science while integrating modern themes such as artificial intelligence, data science, digital process modelling, and sustainability. They will explore how chemical engineers use advanced computation, laboratory experimentation, and applied design to solve real-world challenges across energy, pharmaceuticals, materials, and biotechnology.
The structure gives students a strong foundation in mathematics, engineering principles, and digital skills while introducing them to the fundamentals of chemical and process engineering. As they progress, students will build the specialised knowledge needed for careers in chemical and process industries, pharmaceuticals, energy, food and drink production, and other high-growth sectors that rely on chemical engineers.
This programme may include a range of learning activities such as on-campus teaching, practical sessions, workshops, placements, or field-based work. These activities form part of the core learning experience.
