University of Greenwich

BSc Psychology Extended

University of Greenwich

Course overview

The Psychology (Extended) at the University of Greenwich is offered to students who lack the qualifications needed for the regular BSc Hons Psychology programme. The initial year serves as a foundational period where you acquire knowledge in psychology, research techniques, and academic skills that equip you for higher education.

After this, you will enrol in the three-year psychology programme, focusing on modules that range from cognitive psychology and neuroscience to developmental psychology and social psychology. This course is recognised by the British Psychological Society.

If you complete the project and graduate with second-class honours or higher, you qualify for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the BPS. This is crucial if you want to continue your education to become a Chartered Psychologist. This course equips you for advanced training in psychology careers while also helping you develop technical and interpersonal skills that are sought after by various employers.
