Course Overview

If you have a passion for starting and growing your own business, the BA in Business and Management (Enterprise and Innovation) at the University of Gloucestershire is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and entrepreneurial mindset needed for success.

From your first year, you'll explore the fundamentals of enterprise and innovation, developing key competencies to bring your business ideas to life. As you progress, you'll gain hands-on experience and learn from real entrepreneurs. By this, you’ll be able to understand how to create and sustain a new venture. By your final year, you'll have the opportunity to refine your entrepreneurial approach and explore areas such as Social Entrepreneurship, Business Incubation, and Commercialisation.

The BSc Business and Management (Enterprise and Innovation) from the University of Gloucestershire is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), meaning you’ll graduate with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. You’ll also have access to funding opportunities through enterprise competitions and the university’s ‘Start and Grow’ initiative.

About University

The University of Gloucestershire is a public institution located in Cheltenham and Gloucester, England. Tracing its origins to the Cheltenham Mechanics' Institute in 1834 and the Cheltenham Training College in 1847, the university has a rich history spanning nearly two centuries. It achieved university status in 2001 and now serves a diverse community of approximately 9,200 students from over 60 countries.

The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across various disciplines. Its academic structure is organized into eight schools, providing nearly 100 undergraduate programs and around 57 taught postgraduate courses. Research is a significant focus, with six priority areas including Creative Practice and Theory, Health, Life Sciences, Sport & Wellbeing, and Applied Business and Technology. Notably, the university's research has been recognized as world-leading in several fields.

In addition to academic pursuits, the University of Gloucestershire emphasizes enterprise and innovation. It collaborates with local enterprises through initiatives like The Growth Hub, which supports business development and fosters connections between students, staff, and the wider business community. The university also offers Enterprise Hubs aimed at nurturing early-stage creative and innovative entrepreneur-run businesses.​

Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements

  • Applicants are required to have 104 UCAS tariff points, BCC at A levels, DMM at BTEC or a Merit in your T-Level.

English Proficiency

  • Non-native speakers of English are required to have an IELTS score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band. Other equivalent tests are also accepted.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee to study BA in Business and Management (Enterprise and Innovation) at the University of Gloucestershire is £17,425 per year. This is, however, provisional and subject to change.

Scholarships

The University of Gloucestershire offers a number of scholarships to support international students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies. 

One of the key opportunities is the International Undergraduate Scholarship, which provides a £7,500 tuition fee waiver spread over three years. This scholarship is available to new, self-funded international students enrolling in full-time, on-campus undergraduate programs starting in September 2025, with a minimum study duration of two semesters. Applications must be submitted by April 30, 2025, and students must be classified as international fee payers funding at least 100% of their tuition fees.

Another option is the Global Scholarship, which offers a £1,500 tuition fee waiver for new, self-funded international students enrolling in any full-time undergraduate or postgraduate program.
