MSc Mental Health Nursing - Preregistration
Course overview
This two-year accelerated Master of Science programme is for graduates from any academic background seeking a fast-track route to qualifying as a Mental Health Nurse. The curriculum focuses on preparing students to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, grounded in the NHS Constitution. It blends university learning, simulation, and professionally supervised placements in health and social care settings across Norfolk and Suffolk.
The course structure is informed by the four pillars of Advanced Practice: Clinical Practice, Research, Education, and Leadership. Assessment includes written assignments, reports, exams, and a final-year dissertation, alongside practical assessments conducted against the proficiency standards set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
