BA Business Management and Sustainable Practice

Course Overview

This BA (Hons) Business Management and Sustainable Practice course provides a solid grounding in the fundamentals of business management while also developing skills for a sustainable future. The course addresses how companies are working toward sustainability goals across net-zero carbon, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability. It prepares managers to move businesses forward while adapting to meet these goals. The modules embed the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and UNESCO sustainability competencies. Real-world learning is a key part of the studies, through live industry briefs, guest speakers, and an optional placement year.

Learning is done through interactive lectures and seminars, debates, discussions, field trips and from practitioners. Students will use theoretical and contemporary literature and work with live case study briefs. Assessment methods include essays, research reports, presentations, group work, and practical reports.

Entry Requirements

Grade requirements

Applicants are required to have the following

  • 112 UCAS Tariff points with qualifications equivalent to A-levels 

  • BTEC Extended Diploma: Grades within the range of Distinction to Merit (DDM)

  • International Baccalaureate (IB): A 28 points is usually required.

English Proficiency

Candidates whose first or primary language is not English will usually need an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with no component score below 5.5.

The cost of the BA Business Management and Sustainable Practice program for International Students is £16,900 per year (2025/26).
